Build Skills Yourself?
You can — but maintaining them, updating them, and keeping them useful over time is the hard part.
Automatic Sync, Zero Effort
Just write notes freely. SkillNote automatically keeps your skills in sync as your knowledge evolves — no manual updates, no worrying about drift.
Incremental, Cost-Efficient Updates
Sending full raw notes to an LLM every time is expensive. SkillNote uses an incremental update approach to apply only what changed, dramatically reducing token usage and cost.
Works with Your Favorite AI Tools
SkillNote integrates with multiple LLM clients, so you can choose how and where your personal knowledge is used — without being locked into a single AI.
Questions You Might Be Asking
A Skill is a structured representation of your knowledge, built from your notes and experience. It’s designed to be easily understood and used by AI clients, so your knowledge becomes something AI can actually work with — not just read.
Yes. Your notes and skills are stored securely, and nothing is shared with AI clients unless you explicitly allow it. You stay in control of what gets exposed, when, and where.
This feature is currently under active development. Once it’s ready, we’ll notify you immediately so you can bring your existing notes into SkillNote without friction.
No. Data ownership is a core principle of SkillNote. Local and cloud storage sync is our highest-priority roadmap item. Even in the unlikely event that the service is discontinued, we commit to open-sourcing SkillNote and ensuring your notes and generated skills remain accessible in your own private storage.
